ebm-papst offers 3 different gearbox designs. Planetary gearboxes for the highest torque, spur gearboxes for the shortest possible design, and crown gearboxes for a right angle use. All designs focus on low noise and high efficiency. Since software controls the speed, gearboxes are mainly needed for reaching the required torque.
